DEDEPU Equipment Usage Safety Precautions
To ensure safe and proper use of DEDEPU diving equipment, follow these detailed precautions:
- Inspect Before Each Use
- Check for Damage: Examine all equipment parts, including the tank, breathing valve, seals, and hoses. Look for cracks, leaks, or visible wear.
- Pressure Verification: Ensure the tank pressure does not exceed the maximum pressure limit of 3000 PSI (200 BAR).
- Secure All Connections: Confirm that the breathing valve, refill adapter, and hoses are tightly and properly connected.
- Test the Breathing Valve: Before diving, take a few breaths from the mouthpiece to ensure smooth and unrestricted airflow.
- Use Refilling Tools Correctly
-
Manual Pump:
- Only use DEDEPU-approved manual pumps. Ensure the tank cools during long refills to prevent overheating.
-
Electric Pump:
- Operate the pump in a stable environment. Monitor the pressure gauge carefully to avoid overfilling.
-
Refill Adapter:
- Use an air source that meets DEDEPU’s specifications. Secure the adapter before transferring air.
Warning: Never exceed the tank's maximum pressure of 3000 PSI (200 BAR). Overfilling may cause damage or accidents.
- Follow Product-Specific Guidelines
- S3000 (0.5L Capacity): Designed for shallow water up to 3 meters, providing 5-10 minutesof breathing time. It is ideal for short dives or emergency use.
- S5000 (1L Capacity): Suitable for dives up to 10-30meters, offering 15-20 minutes of air supply.
- D600 (2.3L Capacity): Built for recreational diving at greater depths of 40-50 meters, with a breathing time of 35-40 minutes.
Important: Use the correct product for its intended purpose. Do not push the equipment beyond its depth or time capacity.
- Proper Handling During Use
- Do Not Hold the Tank Upside Down: Maintain proper orientation for smooth air delivery.
- Avoid Impact: The tank and valves are durable but can be damaged if dropped or hit against hard surfaces.
- Monitor Air Supply: Regularly check the remaining air during dives. Surface with sufficient air to avoid emergencies.
- Avoid Rapid Ascents: Rise slowly and follow standard diving safety protocols to prevent pressure-related injuries.
- Post-Use Care and Maintenance
- Rinse Thoroughly: After each use, clean the tank, breathing valve, and accessories with fresh water to remove salt and debris.
- Dry Properly: Allow all components to dry completely before storage to prevent rust or mold.
- Store Safely: Keep the equipment in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources, or sharp objects.
- Temperature and Pressure Caution
- Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose the tank to excessive heat, such as leaving it in a hot car or under direct sunlight, as this can increase pressure dangerously.
- Do Not Freeze: Avoid using or storing the equipment in freezing conditions to prevent damage to seals and valves.
- Never Modify or Misuse Equipment
- No Unauthorized Changes: Do not alter the equipment's structure, valves, or seals. Unauthorized modifications can cause malfunctions or accidents.
- Use as Intended: DEDEPU products are designed for recreational diving and shallow underwater exploration. They should not be used for deep commercial or technical diving.
By adhering to these usage precautions, you ensure your DEDEPU equipment's longevity and your dives' safety. Proper care and correct operation allow you to explore the underwater world freely, confidently, and responsibly.
