Our dive club uses these for pool training sessions. Way more convenient than booking the pool's compressor. The kids love having their own "real" diving equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about the Mini Scuba Tank.

01 How long does the air in the Mini Tank last? +
At surface level, the 0.5L tank at 200 bar provides approximately 40 breaths. At 10 meters depth (2 ATA), this reduces to approximately 13 breaths due to increased air consumption at pressure. This is ideal for a full snorkeling session (15-20 minutes) or as an emergency safety buffer during a controlled dive.
02 Where can I fill the Mini Tank? +
The Mini Tank uses a standard SCBA filling valve compatible with any dive shop or compressor station worldwide. Simply take your tank to any PADI dive center, dive resort, or compressed air supplier. Filling takes under 2 minutes. Home compressors with SCBA adapters also work. We do not recommend using standard tire inflators or paintball fill stations.
03 What regulator should I use with this tank? +
The Mini Tank uses a 3/8" UNF threading that fits any standard diving first-stage regulator. We recommend a basic open-circuit regulator (like the Apeks任 or Scubapro G260) for snorkeling use. Note: This tank is not suitable for closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) systems. For technical diving or depths below 10m, a full-size tank is required.
04 How often does the tank need to be serviced? +
Per ISO 6425 standards, the Mini Tank should be visually inspected before each fill and hydrostatically tested every 5 years or every 100 fills, whichever comes first. The internal hard-anodized coating prevents corrosion, so no annual internal inspections are required for recreational use. Always inspect the O-ring and valve before each dive.
05 Can I take this tank on an airplane? +
Empty tanks can typically be checked as luggage on most airlines, but regulations vary by country and carrier. The tank must be completely depressurized and the valve open. SCBA tanks are generally prohibited as carry-on due to pressure vessel restrictions. Always check with your airline before traveling. We recommend shipping the tank to your destination instead — we offer international shipping to 50+ countries.
06 Is the Mini Tank suitable for children? +
The Mini Tank is suitable for supervised use by children aged 12 and above who have completed a basic snorkeling or diving course. The tank should always be used under adult supervision. The lightweight design makes it manageable for younger users during pool training sessions. Do not use below 10 meters depth, and ensure the user is comfortable breathing from a regulator before underwater use.
